Rear wheel dynamo

We are using 2 units of dynamo to recharge the battery. The dynamo produce an AC voltage, so we need the converter to convert AC to DC. We have to convert to DC because to charge the battery that need DC voltage.

AC to DC Converter

The main parts of the are the IC 7818 and the 1000uf 35V capacitors. We used the 18VAC 1A transformer, the output of the transformer is rectified by diode 1N4007 or equivalent. The voltage here is unregulated value 18V AC to 18V DC. We must use the IC1 with a suitable heatsink.
